Every neighborhood has its quirks, but Rambling Trail? Well, we’re in a league of our own. Think cul-de-sac meets crime blotter with a splash of reality TV. For my own sanity (and your amusement), here’s a rundown of the key players you’ll hear about in this blog.

The Vanished Harpers
Karen Harper — Former neighbor, worked at the sheriff’s office. Calculating, intoxicated, manipulative, always had "the dirt" on everyone.
Sterling Harper — Smug tennis-pro husband with a wandering eye. Emotionally peaked at 14 yrs/old. The two of them brought enough drama to fuel a soap opera… until they suddenly disappeared.

Ghosts from the Past
Chase Harbor — My ex-husband. He can be charming, but with a past full of arrests and a knack for bad decisions, he’s more trouble than he’s worth.
Arnold Lane — My brother. Let’s just say “psychopathic tendencies” runs in his bio, not mine.
Kelli Laron — My old best friend. Her childhood trauma carved out deep cracks that adulthood only widened. Addiction, impersonation, betrayal… and that’s just scratching the surface.
The Rambling Trail Crew
Marlene Dolion — Widowed neighbor. Always sour, always scheming. If misery loves company, she has plenty of it.
Paula & Nino Ramirez — Paula throws the loudest pool parties and tiki nights, while Nino mostly watches with a beer and a buzz. They’re fun… until they’re not.
Rick & Denise Lawless — Rick is a rough-and-tumble handyman, though his addictions trip him up often. Denise keeps him afloat with grit and a loud mouth.
Greg & Crystal Simmons — Greg used to patrol the streets as a bike cop. Now he’s raising kids while Crystal battles demons of her own. Their drama keeps the gossip mill churning.
Eric & Erin Walker — Quieter couple, harder to read. In this neighborhood, silence can mean secrets.
Kayla Jennings — Young, messy, and in need of friends, she was once thick as thieves with the Harpers. She knows more than she lets on.
Carlos Torres — Devoted caretaker to his wife, now quietly battling his own struggles.

The Oddballs & Extras
Howard “Howie” Marks — Retiree with a boat and a Speedo no one asked to see.
Tommy Marks — His son. Strange, simple, and forever loyal to his dad.
Dr. Elaine Monroe — A red-haired physician with the air of superiority that comes with a white coat.
Victor Monroe — Her husband, always between jobs, always chasing something that slips away.
Lily Monroe — Their troubled daughter, a storm in progress.
So there you have it. The living, the vanished, the addicts, the schemers, the caretakers, and the party hosts. Rambling Trail isn’t just a street — it’s a story factory. And trust me, the tales coming out of here aren’t the kind you find in Better Homes & Gardens.
